Procuring vestments, liturgical articles and
supplies
In the Young Rite we tend
to use vestments and liturgical articles similar to those used in the Liberal Catholic
Church. Many things may be bought in local church stores, yet often getting the things one
wants at a reasonable price is a daunting task. Many vestments may be made at home, given
that one has sufficient time. Making your own chalice and paten, however, is a task most
of us are not able to do. Many circles of the Young Rite purchase their things from a shop
in India. One of our bishops has visited the shop and ensures us that the articles are
made in a workshop run by principled people, with decent working conditions and not using
child labour. We can therefore recommend them: Catholic Liturgicals. All
items marked with an asterisk below are available from them.
