All men and women, irrespective their convictions, race, colour, nationality and
whatever other characteristics one chooses to distinguish them by, are welcome to join the
Universal Mystery Rite. We do require that members live a life of integrity. For the
Universal Mystery Rite this means a deep respect for life in all its manifestations. We
recommend (though do not prescribe) a lifestyle which consists of:
 | A vegetarian diet |
| Abstention from alcohol, smoking and drugs for other than
medicinal purposes |
| Sexual relations within a committed, one-on-one relationship. |
Membership of the Universal Mystery Rite is by initiation. This means the applicant
must be prepared to travel to the nearest temple and actively participate in its
gatherings, acquire the correct dress and regalia as and when required.
At this stage the Universal Mystery Rite has just started and only one temple is in the
