In 1997, when I assumed the post of Executive Editor, this was meant to be a temporary appointment until another suitable person could be found to fulfil these tasks. It is therefore with pleasure that I may announce that, after three years, this person has been found and is willing to assume the responsibility as Executive Editor starting with the Christmas 2000 issue of The Liberal Catholic. May I introduce to you the Rev. Dr. Brian Harding, who I am sure will lead this magazine to ever greater heights. In the same breath I would like to thank everyone for their support of this magazine through the challenging period now behind us and call on your continued support in the future.
